Filip Petkovski, Ph.D. teaches two of the IB DP core classes: Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Activity, and Service, as well as World Arts 1 and 2. He received his Ph.D. in Culture and Performance from the Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance at UCLA where he worked as a Teaching Fellow. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles in which he explores topics related to performance, identity, and nationalism. Some of Filip’s most-valued educational objectives are decolonizing academia, applying the students’ personal experiences in the work they create; advising students to think critically about the topics they research, and to utilize non-standard methods in their research and writing.
