EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Apart from formal curricula and school programs, AHSS is also dedicated to developing extracurricular programs tailored to students. These activities include various forms of work and content to meet the interests and foster the special skills of students. We believe that extracurricular activities are an essential aspect of the educational process because they accomplish specific functions of general education. They also offer students an additional way to realize their wishes and dig deeper into what drives them.

Elective subjects

The formally organized extracurricular activities in the School include two official elective subjects – World Art and Gender Studies. Students can choose what they want to study and get proactive in these topics.

Clubs

Based on what students want and need, we have created a variety of clubs and after-school activities focused on specific areas of knowledge. These activities include various types of work and content to meet the interests of the students and nurture their skills and abilities. These student activities enable development capabilities in technology, arts, sports, humanities, and more. To achieve this goal, the School assesses and identifies the specific interests of students and seeks to develop and nurture them.

A great example of this is the Entrepreneurship Club, which works under the name “AHSS Idea Lab” and is aimed at promoting business principles in students.

Informal

We also encourage our students to freely explore and create after-school activities in which they can express themselves. We are proud and happy to have students who are vocal animal rights fighters, women’s movement activists, and eco-aware students. We also cheer for our sports players and inspire everyone to look up to each other, because every student has something valuable.
