CALL FOR SCHOLARSHIPS 2024/2025

- GENERAL INFORMATION
The American High School Skopje is awarding 1 (one) scholarship for talented student in the academic year 2024/2025. The scholarship will cover the tuition for all 4 (four) years of studying.
The call is open to all students from 9th grade of all elementary schools in the Republic of North Macedonia.
The selection of the candidates will be done via scoring and grading according to the criteria listed below.
The scholarship winner will also receive support to actively participate in local, regional and international high school competitions, collaborations and events. With this, the student will have opportunities for additional self-improvement and academic development, as well as contribute to the representation of the School’s mission and vision and representation of the state (at international projects and competitions).
The scholarship winner, in addition to the other conditions, will have to achieve a continuous high level of academic performance during all school years, and at the end of each school year the average must not be lower than 4.00 GPA, i.e. 5.00. If the student does not maintain the average, the scholarship will be revoked and the funds for the awarded scholarship will have to be returned to the school in full.

The deadline for application is April 15th 2024.
- SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
The candidates will be ranked as listed in the table below:

| Socioeconomic situation of the family | Маx. 10% |
| Test score | Маx. 40% |
| Interview | Маx. 20% |
| Total | 100% |
The candidates will be tested in English language and Mathematics. For additional information on the materials and course descriptions, please visit www.ahss.edu.mk.
For the candidates there will be preparatory classes on the following dates:
| Preparatory classes in Mathematics | April 17th, 2024 |
| Preparatory classes in English | April 18th, 2024 |
The dates for the tests are listed below:
| English language | April 22nd, 2024 |
| Mathematics | April 23rd, 2024 |
| Interview | April 25th, 2024 |
The final results will be announced on April 26th, 2024, on the school web site.
Any complaints and objections to the results can be submitted 3 (three) days after the announcement of the results.
The winner of the scholarship, along with a parent or guardian, is required to sign a Contract for Scholarship no later than May 13th 2024. If the contract is not signed by this date, the scholarship is transferred to the next candidate on the list, based on the overall points won.
The payment of the Personal income tax (PIT) for the scholarship is an obligation of the scholarship student.
