Today we present you the following students of the week – Sara Tosikj and Luka Vajevic!

From 21 to 28.07.2023 in Doha, Qatar, the international competition “World’s Scholar Cup-WSC” was held, in competition with 1800 students from 30 countries. The Macedonian delegation consisted of students from the American High School Skopje, Yahya Kemal Skopje, J.H. Pestalozzi and Jan Amos Comenius.

This year’s theme – “Reconstruction of the past”, and the competition took place as a team and individually in four main categories:

– general knowledge test
– writing
– debating
– quiz

Only two teams from the Macedonian delegation exceeded the points threshold and directly qualified for the tournament of champions, which will be held in the United States of America at Yale University in November 2023.

As the best and first team from the Macedonian delegation from the senior division category is the team in which is our student Sara Tošić, who returned from this global round richer for 6 more medals, 3 of which gold and 3 silver, and in the other team our student Luka Vajevic, brought home 4 medals, of which 2 gold and 2 silver.
