FOR AWARDING 5 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ENROLLMENT IN THE SCHOOL YEAR 2018/2019 AT AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL SKOPJE
- GENERAL INFORMATION
American High School Skopje (AHSS) will award 5 scholarship to talented students for enrollment in the first year of high school education in the school year 2018/2019. The scholarship covers all 4 years of high school education.
The call for applications is open till 15.04.2018 and is open to all primary school students in the 9th grade.
The candidates will apply by filling out an online application that can be found on the web page www.ahss.edu.mk. The other supporting documents can be send via e-mail (scanned) or in hard copy directly to the high school at

The selection of the candidates will be made via ranking by the criteria determined below. The 10 highest ranked candidates will be invited to an interview which will determine the scholarship recipients.
The scholarship recipients, beside having their full tuition covered, they will be fully supported in participation at local, regional and international events and competitions.

- Copies of certificates for compeleted 6th to 9th grade
- Copies of certificates,awards, recognition from competitions, additional courses etc.
*the submitted documents will not be returned.
- CRITERIA FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP
All students that are about to complete or have completed the 9th grade of primary education are eligible for the scholarship.
The table below shows the weights for the ranking of the criteria.

The process for scholarship will undergo 3 phases.
- Phase 1 – The candidates apply electronically and submit the required documents for the scholarship.
- Phase 2 – Testing of the candidates

The practice material for the mathematics and English language test can be found bellow:
- Phase 3 = Interview with the best 3 candidates and deciding in the scholarship recipients.
The student and his legal guardian will sing a Scholarship Agreement that regulates all the expectations from the scholarship recipient. The scholarship is renewed each following year under the condition that the student meets all the academic requirements: a 4.0 GPA and to constructively participate in additional activities. Any incidents of academic dishonesty or a serious disciplinary infraction will result in termination of the scholarship.
