Last Friday, our monthly AHSS Talk Day took us on a journey behind the scenes of filmmaking, where creativity and collaboration bring stories to life. This time, we had the immense pleasure of hosting Sashko “Potter” Micevski—a talented movie and TV editor and sound designer.
Sashko shared his inspiring career journey, from working on numerous Macedonian TV shows, short films, and feature films to gaining international recognition. He spoke about his mentorship under legendary industry figures like Graham V. Hartstone (Alien, Blade Runner), Andy Kennedy (The Crown, Harry Potter), and Paul Davies (We Need to Talk About Kevin).
Our students were captivated by his stories of working at Sound24 in Pinewood Studios, where he contributed to Hollywood blockbusters like Sherlock Gnomes, Mowgli, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Sashko also highlighted the importance of teamwork, tackling challenges on set, and the thrill of bringing cinematic visions to life.
We are incredibly grateful to Sashko for sharing his expertise and inspiring our students to dream big and aim high. Here’s to more magical movie projects in his future! 🎥🌟
