This, week, our IB DP students had the opportunity to attend an inspiring guest lecture by Nicu Sprincean, Lecturer in Finance at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Romania, and Scientific Researcher at the National Institute for Economic Research, Romanian Academy.

Through the case study “ESG Integration at Prescient Investment Management”, our students explored Sustainable Finance and ESG Investing, gaining insight into how sustainability connects with real-world financial decision-making.

The session sparked great discussion, from responsible investing and competitive advantage to bias in ESG assessment and the challenges of greenwashing. Our students were curious, asked various questions and actively engaged with complex, real-world business topics.

Organized as part of the UACS International Week, this guest lecture was a truly enriching experience that broadened their perspectives and strengthened their critical thinking skills, which is at the heart of their IB DP journey.
