Educational Background:
Master’s studies in English Language and Literature, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Faculty of Philology, with academic work focused on Applied Linguistics, General Linguistics, Morphology, Syntax, Lexicology and English Language Teaching Methodology. His Master’s thesis examined Phrasal and Prepositional Verbs in English and Their Equivalents in the Macedonian Language.

Professional Experience:
English language educator with more than two decades of experience in English Language Teaching. The professional career includes teaching English to young learners, teenagers and adults, as well as teaching English for Specific Purposes, including Business English and Legal English. He has extensive experience preparing students for internationally recognized examinations, including Cambridge ESOL examinations (FCE, CAE and CPE), IELTS and TOEFL.

Throughout the career, Bojan has combined classroom teaching with curriculum development, teacher training and professional development. He has worked as an English Language Teaching Advisor, developing curricula and syllabi for learners of different ages and levels, as well as for English for Specific Purposes and examination-preparation programmes. He has also worked as an English Language Teaching Consultant and Teacher Trainer, delivering presentations and workshops on English teaching methodology to teachers in both state and private schools.

His professional experience also includes serving as a short-term ELT expert on an EU project focused on the professional development of Bosnian civil servants, where he contributed to curriculum design and the preparation of supplementary English for Specific Purposes materials.

Ilkovski has been involved in professional development and international language-education initiatives through the European Centre for Modern Languages of the Council of Europe. He participated in the PluriMobil project on mobility programmes for plurilingual and intercultural education and has been actively involved in professional activities organized by the English Language Teachers’ Association of Macedonia (ELTAM).

He has also presented at professional conferences, including the ELTAM–IATEFL–TESOL International Biannual Conference, where he addressed the importance of examinations and their impact on test-takers.

Bojan Ilkovski is also an approved lecturer in Legal English at the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors, as well as a certified court translator.

In addition to teaching, Bojan has extensive experience in writing, editing, translation, training and content development. His work has included proofreading and translation for published research and institutional materials, reflecting his broader interest in language as both an educational tool and a means of communication across professional and cultural contexts.
