This school year started a bit differently, as this September, the Grade 10 English class with teacher Ana Trajkovska was truly special – our talented student Gala Takovski stepped into the role of teacher for the day!
Gala guided her classmates through the world of Anton Chekhov and 19th-century Russian literature. She opened the session with an insightful introduction to the Russian literary period and a brief look into Chekhov’s life. Students were then invited to read and explore his short story “The Decoration,” engaging in thoughtful discussions, character analysis, and vocabulary clarification.
The class concluded with a reflection on Chekhov’s unique writing style and his lasting impact as a literary master.
Well done, Gala! What an inspiring way to share knowledge and passion with your peers –we look forward to your next lecture!
Photos from the class are displayed below – enjoy seeing Gala in action!
